Visit Mikumi National park and Udzungwa Mountains Trek through Mwanihana trail with overnight stay in tents in the mid of the virgin and charming forest. Starting few kilometers from the Udzungwa Mountains National Park headquarters in Mang’ula village this trail develops through the eastern side of Mt. Mwanihana, across semi-humid hilly forests, humid sub-mountain forests, pluvial mountain forests, and short stretches of high-mountain moorlands, and reaches the highest peak at about 2,400 meters of height. While on trek you will encounter several species of animals and vegetation.
The total distance for this route is about 20 kilometers and trekking is easy with some short steep distances. Since the night is spent in the forest where the weather and climatic condition is somehow difficult then this trail is recommended for adventure travelers and wilderness lovers.
Dar es Salaam - Mikumi National Park
After breakfast, drive to Mikumi National park, lunch served in Morogoro town en route to the National Park. Mikumi is nestled between Uluguru Mountain to the northeast, Udzungwa Mountains and the Rift Valley escarpment to the south west as part of Selous ecosystem, it benefits from the highest game density of the entire conservation area. On arrival to the park enjoy afternoon game drives in Mikumi ‘till sunset.

Mikumi National Park - Full Day
Full day of game drives in Mikumi National park with possibilities of getting close to the Lion, Buffalo, Elephants, Impala and many more wildlife found in the area. Lunch at Mikumi Wildlife camp inside the park, and then proceed with game drives until late evening where you will drive back to your Camp/Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Mikumi National Park - Udzungwa Mountain National Park
Depart for the guided trekking to Sanje Waterfall.
Breakfast at the Camp, Collect packed lunch and drive to Udzungwa Mountain National Park. On arrival to the Park gate start trekking with your guide to the summit of Sanje Waterfalls. A gentle trek which will take about 6 to 7 hours including a relaxation time, the waterfalls summit provide a magnificent view of Kilombero Sugar can valley and the rural areas. Picnic lunch saved on top of the waterfalls, swimming is possible. Late afternoon descend and drive to your lodge for check inn. Thereafter if you are still fit and interested you can visit the nearby village and get to see the life of the local in the area.
